We all are optimistic about green data centers and green colocation facilities which will not only make hosting business more user friendly but also harm to our environment will also be reduced. But according to some surveys the concept of Green Data Centers will only be applied after few years. Although there are few Data Centers which are practicing to be green data center but to apply this concept in every data center will take some time. Main reason behind the delay is the fact that the Data Center management tools. These Data center tools are still undeveloped and they can’t be used to monitor data, energy consumption or any other factors in Data Center. Organization in the business of data center is concentrating more on other necessary techniques like virtualization or rationalization then making their data center more green. Out of the total businesses in data centers only 5% are interested in adapting greener solutions.

The issue of Green Data center and focusing on energy saving ways was there in the list for some time, but in reality most of the data center admins feel that they have to concentrate on other major issues, like quality of the services they are providing now. Out of all the data centers in the world nearly 20% are approaching the space limit and they need to build a new facility. So they are either concentrating on building a new data center or virtualizing their work. Those who are left want to improve their business qualities first. According to a survey y experts most of the people associated with the data center business only want to talk about green data center, but when it comes to apply the idea most of them are not interested. Like the issue of saving energy starts with monitoring of the whole process, only 45% people said that they are thinking about the process and rest of all say they don’t even care about the idea of green hosting.
